Steve and Fiona McKillop, co-owners of “Studio Ten” since 1999, offer you a complete home décor service out of their beautiful shop in ‘The Ballito Junction’. Theirs is a highly personalized business with a welcoming well trained team, with their own skilled installation and fitting service!

Steve, an accountant with an international marketing background of 18years, heads up the business and the quotation side of Studio Ten, as well as driving the upholstery arm of the business, which has grown from one to three extremely gifted upholsterers.

Fiona, who started out as a school teacher for some years, and then went into sales and marketing, decided to hone her various skills and combine them with her creative passion. Her love for sewing and her natural eye for colour, took her into the clothing industry for seven years, and then, ten years ago, interior decorating. Steve and Fiona were led to Ballito by an astute friend, and then bought a small business called ‘Studio Ten’, and the rest has a lovely history! They have combined their skills to build a business that is their life! They pride themselves in having built a referral base that entirely reflects the service they offer, their feel for the individual and their constant re-invention!

Fiona took it upon herself to do a comprehensive course with Maureen Whitemore, a top interior decorator in the U.K., who travels the world giving courses, in between running a B & B out of her magnificent home in the English Lake Districts. However, she hastens to say that the course was a small beginning to an industry that is learned mainly from an ever – changing day to day experience! She even learns from some of her well – qualified clients who are brilliant ‘project managers’ involved in building, renovating and finishing many homes! She loves the evolving nature of this business as she is motivated and inspired by change! She sees the representatives of many fabric houses and visits various decorating shows and launches.
